Community Infrastructure Levy

Ashton Keynes Parish Council receives financial contributions from developers known as CIL (or Community Infrastructure Levy) for new developments. CIL money must be spent by the Parish Council on infrastructure related work or projects.

To engage with the Parish community and to consider appropriate use of Parish Council CIL money, a CIL Working Group was formed. CIL Working Group Members are from both Parish Councillors and volunteer members of the community. The aim of the CIL Working Group is to consult with the community in the widest possible way, and to identify areas of infrastructure that could be funded by CIL money, and that would provide the best value to the community. As an advisory group to the Parish Council recommendations wil be proposed to the Parish Council for discussion and consideration at public Parish Council meetings.
